The owner of a 2000 Vette stopped by and showed us his pride and joy.  She had a couple of bumps of bruises.  Living in Connecticut, who doesn't?

The repair photos, as shown below, it appears there is considerable work to be done.  This is the care and attention required to properly restore the Vette to show-quality finish.  The Vette itself is not being exposed to the paint booth.  All panels involved in the repair and refinish project have been removed from the vehicle and placed on stands.  As you can see by the photos below, every removal panel is off the vehicle.

A message from the customer:

I ordered my 2000 Corvette at the start of model year 1999.  She's a beautiful Light Pewter Metallic...and just glistens in the sunlight.  I've entered her in shows and am proud to say, she's brought home a string of trophies.

But ...

I wasn't about to leave her parked in the garage, hidden from the world.  She's turning 10 this year and quite honestly, she's had some road wear.  As all vehicles that are driven - not protected in a bubble - my Vette sustained nicks and chips and an unfortunate cracked front bumper cover.  I was concerned about where I should take her because I didn't want just anyone working on her.  I wanted a specialist ~ someone who knew Corvettes.

I took my Vette to a Chevrolet dealer (be careful ... they don't always have their own body shops!).  I thought by taking her to a dealer, I'd meet someone who would appreciate my car as much as me.  That's when I met Bonnie Coon.  She was working in the office and walked out with me to inspect my Vette.  I could see the interest she had taken in the Vette and took extra care in explaining how the repair process should be.  She said no matter where I took my Vette to be repaired, certain steps should be followed.  I was later introduced to Bill Romaniello, the manager of the body shop, who explained that while my automobile insurance is not meant to cover the cost of normal wear and tear, my out-of-pocket expense could be decreased by calling my insurance company.  Anyone who's ever had to replace their front cover knows it isn't cheap.  I knew at that time, I'd found my specialist.  His credentials from General Motors were enough to tell me I was right.

When I found out Bill had opened his own shop, I took my wife's Mazda CX-9 to him because she had been a victim of vandalism.  After seeing the repairs to her car, I knew taking my Vette to him would be the right decision.  I knew with certainty that he'd take care of not only the repairs, but also the pain of dealing with the insurance company.  Every time I called or stopped by the shop, even with my wife and daughter, I was treated like I was welcomed there and though we all had questions, we never felt like we were "bothering" them.  When the day came to pick up my Vette, I was called early in the day.  Rain was in the forecast and I was given the chance to take her home before the skies opened up.  When I arrived, I found her fully detailed.  Interior, exterior, rims, engine compartment ...

Yes!  She was beautiful and show-ready!

The thought of having your vehicle repaired can be distressing, but the experience I had with All-Pro Collision was great.  The team really made me feel like I belonged there, hanging out and talking about cars.

 Thanks All-Pro!
